In the yesteryears, when the School had boarding facilities, the Bosconian footballers were in great demand and they played for various football clubs in the GSA Inter club football league. The school football team won the Lower Assam Football Tounament several times and also went on to win the All Assam Deocaon Memorial Shield in 1959 and 1965. They also represented the entire Assam schools’ football team in the National Schools’ Subroto Mukherjee Cup held in Delhi in 1965. With the closing of the hostel the game of football in the school has not been able to make much strides. However, the contribution of the then school football team’s captain Mr. Indrajit Namchoon who represented the Indian Junior Football Team in the Asian Junior Football Championships in commendable. Presently Bosconian Francis Baruah has proved his excellence in football and is now a professional footballer.
