Regular Scouts & Cubs classes are held once a week in the school and a Don Bosco Scouts & Guides Campore is held annually. Scouts are prepared for Governor’s Award & President’s Award within a span of four years of training. They are also prepared for Regional, National & International Events.
Teacher in-Charge: Mrs. Pranami Das Deka. This club works under Meghdoot Bhavan. Regular meetings and exhibitions are held to display their collection of stamps.
Savio Sahaijya Sangha, popularly known as Triple S Club was formed in 2002. The teacher-in-charge are Mr. Santanu Chakraborty, Mrs. Sagarika Singh and Mrs. Uttara B. Sharma. SSS Club helps the children of Don Bosco Evening School in various ways by collecting money, old clothes and sponsoring evening meals. It is also associated with ‘Snehalaya’. Its main aim is to sentitize the students and makes them aware of other children who may be physically challenged or belongs to economically weaker sections of society.
‘Don Bosco Theatre club’ has recently been introduced in Don Bosco School. The aim behind this is to guide those talented students who are interested in acting. It calls for team work and strict discipline. Through this process, students will develop the qualities of working in a team or group, co-operation, pleasure of togetherness as well as learn to overcome stage fright. The club timings are from 1:45 pm to 3:00 pm on the 1 st and 3 rd Saturdays of every month.
Don Bosco Interact Club is sponsored by Rotary Club of Guwahati, Rotary International Dist. 3240. It is basically for the school students (14 to 18 years of age). It was established in 1968 with the help of Late Rtn. PP Dr. B. N. Choudhury. Since then it has been actively functioning. The Headmaster is the ex-officio advisor of the club. The club is managed by Teacher-in-charge – Mr. K. Phukan and the President with his Board of Directors.

The Junior Red Cross is the Youth Branch of the Indian Red Cross Society. The Junior Red Cross wing of Don Bosco School, Guwahati, was formed in 1983 under the able leadership of Mr. Promode Moral, Assistant Teacher and an executive member of the Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch. The main aims were Promotion of Health, Service to the sick and suffering and International friendliness. Several activities were undertaken of which mention can be made of the Flood Relief drives, Guwahati clean ship drives, Traffic Sense seminars, Rehabilitation of the Slums near the Railway Station that were burnt to ashes, etc. The volunteers also gave a helping hand in the Eye Camps that were organized by the Rotary Club of Guwahati.
In 1990, Mrs. Praneeta Gogoi, Assistant Teacher and Member of the Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch, joined Mr. Promode Moral as Counsellor of Junior Red Cross Chapter of Don Bosco School, Guwahati. Presently, there are about a 100 Volunteers from classes 7 to 10. Several students have been awarded with the JRC Certificates, JRC Awards and Governor’s Award for accomplishing tasks like making an illiterate literate, giving volunteer service at charitable institutions, visits to children wards and old people’s wards at Guwahati Medical College Hospital, forming Peace Committees, visiting slum/poor areas and forming social action projects, First Aid Camps are organized regularly by the members of the Indian Red Cross Society and St. John’s Ambulance to train the young volunteers. They take part in various school functions like Sports’ Day, Inter School Competitions, etc. and are always ready to give first aid in case of emergencies.
